LDU Quito secured a spot in the Copa Sudamericana final after a 1-0 second-leg win over Velez Sarsfield gave them a 3-0 aggregate victory.
Argentine forward Hernan Barcos struck his seventh goal of the tournament on Tuesday as the Ecuadorian champions booked a place in the final for the second time in three years.
The 2009 Copa Sudamericana champions had Barcos to thank for a brace in the first leg, and will now meet Vasco da Gama or Universidad de Chile in the decider.
The Argentine side needed goals and were attacking from the outset, with Guillermo Franco going closest to opening the scoring when he slid in at the back post but failed to make enough contact after Augusto Fernandez and Fabian Cubero combined well down the right.
Quito, away from home, also went close to scoring through Paul Ambrosi and Barcos.
But the Estadio Jose Amalfitani crowd were silenced four minutes after the break when Barcos lashed in a volley after Neicer Reasco s cross.
The hosts continued to search for a way back into the contest and Diego Calderon almost offered them a lifeline when his defensive header looped onto his own crossbar.
But Quito comfortably held on and should have netted again through Enrique Gamez, but the substitute hit his shot well wide with five minutes to play.
